Changes are underway at a longstanding community resource, The Salt Spring Healing Centre. Located at 130 McPhillips in central Ganges, the new owner Joyce Oosthuizen, a recent transplant from Vancouver, B.C. moved to the island in 2023, and is excited to bring a new vision for the business.
Currently 8 certified practitioners provide a range of services, including:
- Massage Therapy
- Acupuncture
- Reflexology
- Bowen Therapy
- Thai Massage
- Nutritional Services
- Couple’s Therapy
- Traditional Chinese Medicine
- and more
The transformation has already begun, with renovations to the inside of the historic building originally built in 190.., situated next to the Island Savings Credit Union and across from the community library. “We are beginning with very basic improvements to the building so it is a more comfortable and welcoming space for both our resident practitioners and their patients”, says Joyce.
